Evoke DX®

Records electrical activity in the retina and visual centers in the brain for evaluating eye conditions and disease

Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP) and Electroretinograms (ERG) are tests that provide useful data for evaluating conditions such as glaucoma, optic nerve disorders, multiple sclerosis, amblyopia, and traumatic brain injury (TBI).

VEP and ERG tests assess retinal and visual function, and how electrical signals travel between the eyes and brain.

As light enters the eye, it is converted into electrical signals. These signals travel through the visual pathway to the brain’s visual center where the information is processed. Until now, VEP and ERG tests were available primarily at large research hospitals, specialty clinics, and medical schools. Formerly, the tests required hundreds of electrodes and took nearly a full day to administer.

EVOKE DX® is a new instrument that performs these specialty tests with painless, non-invasive strategies.
